Wreath in a Jar

Aaah.  It's that time of year again.  Time to come up with something to give those saints who take care of and teach my little one all day at preschool.  I came up with these cute "Wreath in a Jar" gifts to say thank you.  Super easy and super cute.  Take a look.  Enjoy!

NYE 2012 Cookie

This set of cookies was for a New Year's Eve party dessert table at a gorgeous home up in the hills.  Party hats, streamers, Baby New Year and the rest of the usual suspects round out this collection to help ring in the new year.  Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving

Here's a collection of Thanksgiving and autumn themed cookies we did for the winners bidders on an Oh, Sugar! certificate for a charity auction.  Indian corn, pumpkins, acorns and turkeys and that traditional autumn color palette. Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy!

Happy 'Merica Day!

Happy Fourth of July!  We live for the Fourth on our block.  Our little slice of Mayberry shuts down the street for an old fashioned block party to rival anything Aunt Bea and Andy could have put together.  Here's the itinerary for our 16th annual ode to our nation (rolled up in a scroll, tied with a pretty ribbon and hand delivered to everyone on the block - I love our neighbors!).

8:30 am  Breakfast Pot Luck
9:30 am Fourth of July Bike Parade
11:00 am Donut Eating Contest
12 noon Sunglasses Decorating & Tattoo Station
2:00 pm "So You Think You Can Dance" Contest
4:00 pm Potluck Dinner
4:00 pm Homemade Pizza Contest
5:00 pm 3rd Annual Mixing Bowl bake off
7:00 pm Poker Tournament

On Going Fun: Water slide, Scavenger Hunt, Ping Pong and Foosball.

And here's my entry for the Mixing Bowl bake off.  You guessed it - decorated sugar cookies!

The only fireworks allowed on our street.

Cookies For Santa

A last minute job of thirty Christmas "cookie in a jar" office gifts for a family friend yielded these happy mason jars. I wanted to tie an ornament to each one as an additional gift to the recipients and found these really attractive glittering silver bows and stars in the dollar section at Walmart (ahhh glitter - the herpes of Christmas). Tied up with a red satin bow and a recipe card attached, these make a fab and festive gift or party favor!

These dollar ornaments are a total steal!
