Mermaids and Starfish

This is the adorable invitation that inspired this set of mermaid birthday cookies for a sweet little two year old named Lily.  How cute is she?  I used a reclining mermaid cookie cutter and adapted the design to fit the shape and I love how sweet she turned out.  Rosy cheeked and lying on a bed of pink starfish, she is too presh.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Lily!

Donkey Kong Cookies

Why do I have the most creative customers ever? A Donkey Kong themed birthday? Genius! I had to do some research on the new version because I definitely don't remember these silly pirate-type crabs back in the day.  Throw in some barrels and bananas and we've got a cool collection on our hands.  Check out the rest of the pictures for all the fun details.  Enjoy!

Polar Bears in Party Hats

God bless Facebook!  My oldest (like kindergarten) friend Stephanie and I keep in touch through FB, which is how she's seen my cookie work.  She happens to live out of state, but planned to be in town for her 6 year old Emily's birthday and wanted a couple dozen zoo animal themed cookies.  I asked the birthday girl her favorite color and so purple cheetah spots it was!  I LOVE this collection and LOVE that I got the opportunity to bake for my childhood friend's child.  Too cool.  Take a look at this darling menagerie.  Enjoy!

Mod Monkey Birthday

I'm sure everyone's familiar with this sweet Mod Monkey design (available on line and at party stores everywhere), so when my client asked for a Mod Monkey birthday cake and coordinating cookies for her darling one year old's first birthday, I knew exactly what she was talking about.  I was happy to be working with such a cute and simple design.  My real problem was that my client didn't want a cake decorated with sugar cookies, which is becoming a specialty of mine.  Uh oh.  Luckily she wanted something simple so we decided on stripes and polka dots with a Mod Monkey cookie cake topper (had to throw one in somewhere!)  Here's what we came up with.  Enjoy!

Alright, alright.  I snuck in another cookie!

She also wanted a small smash cake for the baby.

Alternating ruffles.

Here are the coordinating cookies to go with Miss Presley's cakes.  Monkeys, bananas, flowers and cookies that look like the birthday girl herself, including her party outfit!  Enjoy!

Thank You Cookies

Here is a miniature thank you proposal for the Hawthorne PD to send out to the ten or so departments that had reached out to them with condolences upon the recent loss of one of their officers.  They wanted something dignified so I decided to keep it simple with just one central "Thank You" in script and the rest of the words describing the officers in a clean red Courier New font.  Cross your fingers that we get the gig.  Enjoy!

I Choo Choo Choose You!
