Go Greek!  We certainly did with these Greek-themed cookies.  Our client's husband is, you guessed it, Greek and she's been surprising him with Greek themed birthday treats for the last few years and wanted to up the ante this year with three dozen cookies.  She suggested the flag, a Greek bust and maybe a classic ancient building like the Parthenon (which we put our twist on).  Love how these turned out and so did the birthday boy.  Enjoy!

So our take on the ancient Greek buildings was to focus on the classical architecture that everyone would recognize, the beautiful Greek column capitals.  Done in crisp white against that deep Mediterranean blue, they really pop.

 And, of course, the country's flag.

Blog Love: Disastrous Jane

Because we are extremely vain, every once in awhile we google ourselves to see if we've been mentioned anywhere in cyberspace.  Today there was a pleasant surprise when I found someone other than myself (via my own self serving blog posts) giving us props.  We found a really rockin' blog called Disastrous Jane that features a little bit of everything - parties, flowers, fashion, style, photography, food and on and on.   See? Winston's Jewelers Proposal

Tomorrow is a big day for Oh, Sugar!  I meet up with a high end jeweler who  is looking to carry my cookies in his store for his clients to enjoy while shopping.  Their logo and signature colors are black and gold so I kept the designs clean and simple, highlighting details with sparkly sugar crystals, edible pearls and  metallic luster dust.  Below are the cookies for my presentation.  Enjoy - and wish me luck!

Cameo Cookies

So excited to share these beauties with you!  These cameo sugar cookies are part of a proposal I am (sloooowly) putting together to present to a high end jewelry store who is interested in carrying my cookies to serve their clients as they sip champagne while shopping for shiny baubles.  More to come on this one - Enjoy!
